The Specialized Aethos is the one Specialized built without a wind tunnel in mind. No aero compromise, no integration for its own sake — just the lightest, best-riding frame they know how to make. On the rolling roads around Davidson and Mooresville, it is the bike that flatters an ordinary day out.

Built here, by hand

Aethos builds reward being assembled properly: bearing preload, hose routing, tyre choice and tape all show up in how the bike rides. We build every one in the shop rather than shipping a box, and we are happy to spec a custom build if the stock kit is not quite what you want.

S-Works, Pro, Expert and Comp builds, sizes 49 to 61. Not sure between Aethos and Tarmac? Ride both — we keep demo bikes and the difference is obvious in ten minutes.

Every bike we sell gets a professional build by our mechanics and a 45-day courtesy tune-up. A Retul fit is available as a separate service for $300.
