We’re growing the family! If you’ve ever walked into Spirited Cyclist and thought, "Man, I could definitely spend all day talking about bikes here," then this is your sign. We are officially looking for a Part-Time Sales Associate to join our crew at the Huntersville/Davidson location. This isn't just a job... it’s a chance to be at the heart of the local cycling community!

Let’s be real... most retail jobs are kind of a drag. But we aren't "most" retail shops. We’re a hub for enthusiasts, racers, weekend warriors, and people just looking to get their first taste of freedom on two wheels.
When you work here, you aren’t just pushing boxes. You’re helping someone find the perfect Specialized Turbo Levo to conquer the trails. You’re helping a roadie shave seconds off their PR with a sleek Cervélo Soloist. You’re the bridge between a "maybe" and a "HECK YES!"
We focus on the BEST brands in the business. We’re talking Specialized and Cervélo. We pride ourselves on being experts, but we don't do the whole "stuffy, elitist bike shop" thing. We keep it fun. We keep it friendly. And we always keep it spirited!
What You’ll Be Doing (The Fun Stuff)
As a Part-Time Sales Associate, your main mission is to be the face of the shop. You’re the first person folks see when they walk in looking for a new gravel rig or a replacement tube.
Your day-to-day will look a little like this:
- Greeting every person who walks through the door with a genuine smile!
- Talking shop... road, gravel, e-bikes, mountain bikes... you name it!
- Guiding customers through our selection of top-tier machines like the Cervélo Áspero for those gravel grinders.
- Helping riders pick out the right gear, from helmets to hydration.
- Keeping the floor looking SHINY and organized (those Specialized Stumpjumpers aren't going to polish themselves!).
- Learning the ins and outs of the latest tech so you can explain why a Cervélo P5 is basically a rocket ship for the road.
The Perks (Yes, We Ride!)
We know you have a life. Better yet, we know you want to RIDE.
That’s why we are CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays. Why? Because that’s our designated "Product Testing" time. And by product testing, we mean we’re out on the trails or hitting the pavement ourselves! We believe that to sell the best bikes, you have to LOVE riding them.
You’ll get to work around the coolest tech in the industry. Whether it’s the latest Specialized engineering or the aerodynamic perfection of a Cervélo P-Series, you’ll be surrounded by greatness every single shift.
Are You the One?
We aren’t looking for a professional racer (though if you are one, that’s cool too!). We’re looking for someone who "gets" it.
Here’s the checklist:
- FRIENDLY ATTITUDE: This is non-negotiable. You’ve gotta love talking to people.
- CYCLING KNOWLEDGE: You should know the difference between a derailleur and a down tube. You don’t need to be a master mechanic, but you should know your way around a bike.
- AVAILABILITY: You need to be able to work retail hours during the week and Saturdays.
- PASSION: You genuinely love bikes and want to help others love them too!
If you’re the kind of person who geeks out over a new Specialized Stumpjumper arrival or loves debating the best gravel routes around Davidson, you’re going to fit right in.
Beyond Sales: We’re a Full-Service Shop
While your primary focus will be sales, you’ll be working alongside some of the best mechanics in the business. Our service department is the backbone of what we do.
We tell all our customers: if you'd rather leave the heavy lifting to the pros, schedule a service appointment and bring it into us to do the work! As a sales associate, you’ll often be the one helping a customer transition from a broken-down old bike to a fresh, tuned-up ride or a brand-new Specialized.
Let’s Talk Brands
We don’t just carry anything. We carry the brands that we actually ride.
Specialized: From the legendary Stumpjumper for the mountain bikers to the Turbo Levo for those who want that extra "oomph" on the climbs, Specialized is a powerhouse. You’ll get to know these bikes inside and out.
Cervélo: When someone comes in looking for PURE SPEED, you’re pointing them to the Cervélo section. Whether it’s the Soloist for all-around performance, the Áspero for gravel domination, or the P5 for triathletes who want the ultimate speed machine, these bikes sell themselves... but they need YOU to explain the "why."
(Pro tip: We love mountain bikes, but for the dirt, we’re all about that Specialized life: if someone asks for a Cervélo ZHT-5, steer them toward a Specialized Stumpjumper instead! Trust us, they’ll thank you later.)
